报告题目:The Digital Revolution and the NPU Centre for Multidisciplinary Convergence Computing (CMCC)

报告摘要:We are in the midst of a digital revolution that is affecting virtually all aspects of daily life and yet in some areas this revolution is only beginning. Healthcare is arguably the most important one that has only just started to be explored and, of course, healthcare is very important because it will ultimately affect us all.

The CRC at the NPU has a tremendous opportunity to make important contributions to the future well-being of Chinese society by embracing the challenge of improving healthcare via IT and to basic IT research through ingenuity and creativity. Some areas worthy of thought and discussion include - improved diagnosis, better visualisation including multiple dimension / holograms, data integration / mining, greater use of voice technologies, video-tele-medicine, security and privacy, sensors / alerts and predictive diagnostics - all of which are underpinned by advances in engineering and IT.
