Starting from February 11th (the second day of the Lunar New Year), the School of Computer Science has arranged for 10 professors, including Wang Danghui, Wang Jihe, Li Ying, Cui Hengfei, Pan Yongsheng, Zhang Yu, Zhang Xiao, Liu Zhaowen, Chen Geng, and Han Xiaolin, to teach at the Kazakhstan branch campus, marking the first chapter in the new year for talent cultivation at the Kazakhstan branch campus.
In the wave of globalization, educational exchange and cooperation have become important drivers for strengthening the relations between countries. In particular, promoted by the "the Belt and Road" initiative, China-Kazakhstan educational cooperation has been deepening, providing a broad platform for both sides to cultivate outstanding talents with international vision and the ability to innovate. The School of Computer Science (SCS) at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) actively responds to the university's call, takes the initiative, and actively participates in the construction of the Kazakhstan branch campus. To this end, the school has carefully organized and selected a group of excellent teacher teams to teach at the Kazakhstan branch campus. These teachers not only have a solid academic foundation and rich teaching experience, but also cherish a strong sense of responsibility and mission. They are committed to promoting educational exchange and cooperation between China and Kazakhstan through their own efforts and dedication.
In this teaching activity, teachers Wang Danghui and Wang Jihe jointly offered the course of "Embedded Processor Design" to help students understand the composition and functions of embedded systems. Li Ying, Cui Hengfei, Pan Yongsheng, and Chen Geng jointly brought the course "Artificial Neural Network and Its Application", imparting the latest artificial intelligence (AI) technology and application knowledge to the students . Professor Zhang Yu lectures on the course "Advanced Operating Systems", which delves into the advanced principles and practical applications of operating systems. At the same time, teachers Han Xiaolin, Zhang Xiao, and Liu Zhaowen jointly undertook the teaching task of Data Mining Techniques, guiding students to deeply explore the value behind data. These teaching activities help students improve their professional abilities and prepare in advance for their studying in China.
During their teaching at the Kazakhstan branch campus, the teachers designed course content and teaching methods suitable for students based on local culture and educational characteristics, striving to enable students to master knowledge and skills in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. At the same time, they will also have in-depth exchanges and cooperation with teachers at the branch campus, share each other's teaching experience and methods, and jointly explore the best education models for students from both countries. This teaching activity of the faculty team not only provides valuable learning opportunities for students in Kazakhstan campus, but also represents an important move for the SCS, NPU to actively respond to the "the Belt and Road" initiative and promote the internationalization of education. By offering these high-level courses, SCS, NPU is committed to cultivating outstanding talents with international perspectives and innovative abilities, and building a solid bridge for educational cooperation and cultural exchange between China and Kazakhstan.
SCS's this international teaching journey to the Kazakhstan Campus not only reflects the practical efforts of NPU to promote close cooperation under the framework of the BRI, but also represents the remarkable achievements of the two sides in the field of educational cooperation. We are full of confidence to contribute to the NPU Kazakhstan Campus and look forward to establishing a model for China-Kazakhstan educational cooperation, injecting new vitality into the development of education in both countries and even all the BRI partner countries. NPU, this hallowed hall of learning, which carries profound historical heritage and future hopes and boasts unique charm and influence, is slowly composing new brilliance for the educational cooperation between China and Kazakhstan.
