Notice on Selecting 2025 Undergraduate Graduates of the School of Computer Science for Graduation Project (Thesis) at Aberystwyth University

To improve the quality of international talent cultivation and encourage students to complete their graduation projects overseas, the University plans to launch the Undergraduate Overseas Graduation Project (Thesis) Dispatch Program, with supporting funding available. The relevant details are hereby notified as follows:

I. Implementation Measures

  1. Supervisors

    Each student shall be jointly supervised by an on-campus supervisor and an overseas supervisor under the dual-mentor system. The list of overseas supervisors will be provided by the School for students to choose from, while students shall independently contact their on-campus supervisors.

  2. Thesis Requirements

    The content and format of the overseas undergraduate graduation project (thesis) shall be basically consistent with the requirements for on-campus projects.

  3. Dispatch Schedule

    Students are scheduled to be dispatched in late November, and must return to China by the end of June 2026 at the latest.

II. Program Costs and Quota

  1. Program Fees

    • Program fee: £500 per month

    • Accommodation fee: £180 per month

  2. Quota

    25 students

III. Funding Standards

  1. Basic Funding

    In accordance with Measures for the Administration of Funding for Undergraduates of Northwestern Polytechnical University Participating in Overseas (Cross-Strait) Exchanges (Document No. [2023] 156 of the Office of International Affairs), the support for students participating in the overseas graduation project is as follows:

    • Living allowance: ¥5,000 per month

    • International travel expenses: A one-off round-trip subsidy of ¥8,000 per person

  2. Supporting Funding

    To encourage participation and enable students to focus on their studies and research after dispatch, additional supporting funding will be provided exclusively for students of the School of Computer Science joining this program. The total monthly funding is expected to cover the program fee, accommodation fee, and basic living expenses for a maximum period of 3 months. IV. Application Method

  1. Interested applicants must join the designated QQ group (Group No.: 782428192) and submit the required application materials in accordance with the instructions provided in the group.

  2. Prior to application, students must obtain the approval of their intended on-campus supervisor and have the supervisor sign the Supervisor’s Informed Consent Form.
