From September 4 to 5, the School of Computer Science Sub-forum Activity of NPU 6^th Aoxiang Forum for Distinguished Young Scholars was successfully concluded.Five young scholars from France, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong participated in the forum.Leaders, team leaders, basic-level leaders, young teacher representatives and graduate students of the whole School of Computer Science participated in activities.

On the afternoon of the 4^th, Vice President Zhang Shengbing (host) welcomed all the scholars in the history corridor of the School of Computer Science, led them to watch the propaganda film for the 80^th anniversary of the university, and told them about the history and achievements of School of Computer Science over six decades.

After that, the Colloquium of the School of Computer Science Sub-forum was held in Conference Room 203.On behalf of the school, Zhang Shengbing extended a warm welcome to the young scholars and gave a keynote speech, introducing the school's basic situation, as well as the policies and supporting measures practised by the university and the school on talents. Yu Zhiwen, Secretary of the Party Committee, introduced the advantages of the school's disciplines and its future development plans, also warmly welcomed scholars to join the school or establish long-term cooperation and exchanges with the school. Professor Wang Peng, who was selected into the Thousand Talents Program in 2016, made an objective analysis of the strengths of the school compared with other famous computer schools. Each scholar introduced their own basic situation and the research content respectively; Other leaders and scholars of the school exchanged views on personnel training, scientific research teams, international exchanges, and other issues.After the colloquium, the scholars visited the relevant laboratories and had a preliminary exchange of views.

On the afternoon of the 5^th, the participating scholars gave academic reports to the docking teams, and had further exchanges with the leaders of the relevant teams, teachers and graduate students.

Participating scholars showed great enthusiasm for the activity of the school's sub-forum and actively participated in it.Some of the scholars who attended the colloquium expressed their preliminary intention to apply for a position in our school, some were prepared to apply for the high-level talents project relying on the university strength, and some scholars also expressed their willingness to strengthen the communication and cooperation with the relevant teams of the school.Aoxiang Forum for Distinguished Young Scholars is one of the major media in introducing high-level talents for the university, and on the basis of continuous practice and summary of experience, the school will further promote and strengthen the construction of high-level talents team.
